The pretzel tasting concept hatched while seated in a local brewery near the beginning of our relationship.
It started off as a joke and a Simpsons reference; but the more we talked about how silly that would be, the more we realized what a grand adventure it could be.
So, the two of us started brainstorming a list of criteria that would be essential to our braided, twisted, tasteful journey. Here is our list:
- Dry/Crunchy
- Doughy/Softness
- Moistness
- Color
- Size
- Shape
- Salt Ratio
In addition to this list, which is specific to pretzels, we took into consideration dipping sauces.
As with many things in life, there is an art to everything, and our ratings have evolved with each tasting. Starting with a rudimentary methodology and transitioning into a more refined approach we strive to develop the utmost unbiased, honest, and overall best reviews possible. Do not get us wrong, we are not claiming to be pretzel experts by any means. But we feel confident with our ever-increasing experiences that continuously develop our pretzel palate.
